Bohemian Rustic Romantic Olowalu Wedding

Jenny and Mark were married on a beautiful Maui day at the Olowalu Plantation House. The wedding was planned and designed in collaboration with Tori Rogers of Celebrations by Tori, formerly Hawaii Weddings by Tori Rogers. The gorgeous flowers were by Sunya's Flowers.

This couple was so special. One thing I loved about them was their eclectic taste in music. I loved that their first dance was a Led Zeppelin song called Thank You, the Bouquet Toss was to Duran Duran's Girls on Film. and Captain and Tennille's Love Will Keep Us Together played during the cocktail reception.

To personalize their ceremony, their friend obtained a one day license from the state of Hawaii to perform the ceremony, sign the license, and process the license. Planning the design details of this wedding was truly fun. The couple invested in a vintage bar, beautiful florals in bright colors, Farm wood tables, Bamboo chairs, China, flatware, and more that went with their Boho Rustic theme, exuding romance the entire day. Each guest received a miniature bottle of Moet Chandon Rose' Champagne and lip balm. Each child guest received a thoughtful activity kit to keep them from getting bored or feeling left out. This wedding was truly all about love. It was in the music, the words of the ceremony, and their actions towards each other and their guests.

The food at this wedding was AMAZING. In addition to the Ceviche and Poke Station, Wok Fried Noodle Station, and Taco Station, guests enjoyed Flying Knives Teppanyaki, which offered lobster, steak, scallops, shrimp, chicken and fish. It was a foodie's dream. Maui Wedding Cakes provided the Vanilla and Lilikoi wedding cake AND cupcakes in delicious flavors, including:

-Lemon Drop Cupcakes-Vanilla Cupcake with Lemon Cream Filling and a Lightly Lemon Buttercream Icing and a Sprinkle of Candied Lemon Peel on top

-Pina Colada Cupcakes- Vanilla Cupcake with Pineapple & Rum Filling, Buttercream Icing and Shredded Coconut on top

-Blizzard Berry Cupcakes-Chocolate Blizzard Cupcake with Raspberry filling and Buttercream Icing

-MacNut Mambo-Chocolate Mac Nut Cupcake with Dulce De Leche Caramel Filling and Buttercream Icing

Is your mouth watering yet? If you thought the food was impressive, wait until you hear about the bar! Aloha Bars Maui created special signature drinks in addition to a full open deluxe bar. The couple took our idea of renaming the drinks and created the most perfect names! The Mango Mojito was renamed the Stellajito after one of their dogs. The Kula Kiss was renamed Casper Kiss after their other dog. The groom honored his mom's family name with the Mackey (really a Mai Tai) and the bride honored her father by ordering a bottle of Sambuca, his favorite drink.

So much thought, love, and effort went into creating a gorgeous and memorable experience for Jenny and Mark, and we truly adored everything about them.
